Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated PMLD Specialist to support 5 pupils within a specialist SEN school in Dudley. The role involves providing person-centred support for pupils with PMLD and complex medical needs, including mobility and transfers.

The successful candidate will work with teachers and other professionals, follow care plans and safeguarding procedures, and help pupils develop communication, sensory, and independence skills in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with PMLD and complex needs in SEN setting.
• Hoist or Manual Handling training essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support 5 pupils with PMLD and complex medical needs.
• Provide personalised support to meet learning, care and communication needs.
• Support pupils who are wheelchair users with mobility and transfers.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and moving and handling procedures.
• Assist in creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
