Job summary

Aspire People are partnering with a specialist SEN school in Hinckley seeking a caring SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join the early years team. You will support young children with additional needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping their communication, confidence and early learning through play-based activities, while building trusting relationships with staff.

Hours are Monday to Friday, term time only, with a daily rate of £105. Start dates ASAP depending on availability.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working with young children with SEN.
• Patient, caring and nurturing.
• Understands play-based learning and early development.
• Calm, adaptable and resilient.
• Commitment to Monday-Friday, term time only.
• Experience in nursery or early years setting preferred.

• Supporting young children on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Helping children develop their communication and social skills
• Supporting early learning through play-based activities
• Encouraging independence and personal development
• Supporting children's emotional regulation and wellbeing
• Helping children with sensory needs and individual routines
• Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
• Supporting children with transitions and changes in routine

• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
