Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant for their Hinckley setting. The role involves hands-on support for young children with additional needs, focusing on communication, independence and early learning in a nurturing environment.

Working Monday to Friday, term time only, you will join a dedicated team and work closely with teachers and SEN staff. A positive, patient approach and experience in SEN are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children with SEN.
• Experience in nursery, early years or specialist SEN setting is preferred.
• Patient, caring and nurturing disposition.
• Understands importance of play-based learning and early development.
• Confident supporting children with communication and sensory needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to young children on 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Help children develop communication and social skills.
• Support early learning through play-based activities.
• Encourage independence and personal development.
• Support children's emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Assist children with transitions and changes in routine.
