Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting a caring SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their early years team in Leicester. You will support young children with additional needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them communicate, socialise and develop through play-based learning.

This role is Monday to Friday, term-time only, at a daily rate of £105. Aspire offers dedicated consultant support, ongoing placement guidance and potential long-term opportunities in a specialist SEN setting.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working with young children with SEN.
• Ideally has experience within a nursery, early years or specialist SEN setting.
• Is patient, caring and nurturing.
• Understands the importance of play-based learning and early development.
• Is confident supporting children with communication and sensory needs.
• Can build strong relationships with young children.
• Is calm, adaptable and resilient.
• Works well as part of a wider team.
• Is committed to working Monday-Friday, term time only.

Aspire People have partnered with a specialist SEN school in Leicester who are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their early years team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with young children with additional needs and wants to help them develop their communication, confidence, independence and early learning skills.

About the Role

Working within an SEN nursery setting, you will provide hands‑on support to young children with a range of additional needs, helping them feel safe, settled and ready to learn.
