Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Leicester for an experienced SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join the early years team. You will support young children on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping with communication, social skills and early learning through play, while promoting independence and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role is term-time only, with £105 per day, Monday to Friday, and offers ongoing consultant support and potential

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN in nursery/early years
• Patience and caring approach to young children
• Ability to support play-based learning and routines

Responsibilities

• Support young children on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Help children develop communication and social skills
• Support early learning through play-based activities
• Encourage independence and personal development
• Support children's emotional regulation and wellbeing
• Assist children with sensory needs and individual routines
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
• Assist with transitions and changes in routine
