Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is seeking a Maths Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Chard, Somerset from September 2026. You will deliver engaging Maths lessons to learners with SEN, across KS3, KS4 and Post-16, tailoring approaches to individual needs.

Experience in SEN or alternative provision is desirable. The post is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with a daily rate of 160–240 GBP and a September 2026 start.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or supporting Maths
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Ability to differentiate lessons for varied abilities and needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Patient, flexible and child-centred approach

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons
• Teach Functional Skills, Entry Level and GCSE Maths where appropriate
• Adapt lessons to individual learning profiles and EHCP outcomes
• Use practical resources and visual scaffolding
• Support pupils with confidence, engagement and emotional regulation
• Monitor progress and identify areas needing support
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils
• Create a calm, inclusive learning environment
