Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is recruiting a Maths Teacher to work with students in a SEN-focused setting in Maidstone, Kent. From September to December 2026, you will teach Maths up to GCSE, primarily in small groups across KS3 and KS4, with Year 10/11 classes typically 8–10 pupils and KS3 groups of 4–8 pupils.

The role supports students with SEN and behavioural difficulties, requiring differentiated lessons, marking and constructive feedback, and a calm, positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• QTS desirable; Maths teaching experience in SEN environment considered.
• Strong experience teaching Maths to GCSE level
• Experience working with students with SEN and behavioural difficulties - essential
• Confident managing challenging behaviour
• Patient, adaptable and resilient approach

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths up to GCSE level
• Work with small groups of Year 10 and 11 students, typically 8-10 pupils
• Teach KS3 students in smaller groups of approximately 4-8 pupils
• Support students with SEN and behavioural difficulties
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons
• Mark students' work and provide appropriate feedback
• Create a calm, positive and structured learning environment
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
