Job summary

Houldsworth Valley Primary Academy, part of Unity Schools Partnership, is seeking a dedicated learning support assistant to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027.

You will support teaching and learning under the teacher's supervision, assist individuals or small groups, and help attend to pupils' personal and social needs. We offer professional development and a welcoming, collaborative school culture.

Job description

Contract: Part Time, fixed-term until 31/08/2027 (16 hours per week / 37 weeks per year)

To realise our goal, we have an opening for a highly skilled learning support assistant to join our ambitious and motivated team, working within our Hub, supporting children with Communication and Interaction needs.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the teacher to provide support for teaching and learning and associated activities in accordance with school policies and procedures. This may include providing general support for whole class learning activities, or supporting individuals or small groups of pupils. To attend to the personal and social needs of pupils in order to support their learning and development.
