Academics Ltd in Rotherham is seeking Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in local specialist schools. You will support pupils with SEN, 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning and build confidence.

You'll bring Level 3 TA experience, SEN knowledge, patience, resilience, and DBS clearance. The role is term-time only, paid weekly via PAYE, with competitive daily rates (£92.56-£110) and referral rewards. Training and ongoing CPD are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent in education/childcare health settings.
• Experience supporting children with SEN and adapting approaches.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS quickly.
• Ability to build rapport with pupils, families and school staff.
• Two professional references ready to provide upon request.

Responsabilités

• Be champion for pupils, supporting 1:1 and small groups.
• Adapt lessons and resources to fit each learner.
• Use positive strategies to turn behaviour into progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and families to track progress.
• Support children with a range of needs from autism to communication delays.

• Qualified or experienced - Level 3 TA or equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
• SEN-savvy - you've supported children with additional needs and know how to adapt, connect, and inspire.
• Calm under pressure - patient, flexible, and solution-focused when things get tricky.
• DBS-ready - Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or happy to get one fast.
• Reference-perfect - two strong professional references ready to go.
