Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a residential SEN school in the Cranleigh area. You will support learners with various needs, assist teaching staff and help deliver structured activities across the curriculum.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:00, term time only. The role offers on-site parking, modern resources and a supportive management team, with a guaranteed contract until July 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEN in classroom or similar setting.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different subjects.
• Experience working with children is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistance to the teacher as per planning.
• Provide group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Work individually with learners to develop work.
• Support the general well being of learners within the school structure.
• Monitor and evaluate learners' learning under teacher guidance.
• Assist teachers in using management strategies for a purposeful environment.
• Support all learners in planned structured work across curriculum areas.
