Job summary

Randstad Education in Cranleigh, Surrey is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join an outstanding special needs school that serves ages 5-18.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, follow teacher plans, and help create an engaging, inclusive learning environment. The role offers funded training to advance your qualifications and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working in SEND settings is desirable but not essential.
• GCSE Maths and English are required.

Responsibilities

• Providing teaching assistance defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning.
• Working 1:1 with students.
• Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher.
• Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
• Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school.
• Monitoring and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher.
• Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place.
• Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas.

Salary - £20500-£23000 Per annum

Permanent Role /Term time only

Monday to Friday 8:45am -4.45pm

• Confidence to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects
