Randstad Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a residential special school in the Horley area. The role is full-time, term-time only, with hours 08:30-16:00, and a daily rate of £88-£110.

The assignment is a long-term contract, guaranteed until July 2027, with excellent career progression opportunities. The school supports children aged 6-16 with SEMH/ASC and offers a holistic education, modern resources, and extensive grounds.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Ability to engage learners in group and individual activities.
• Friendly, patient and reassuring approach to SEN learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistance to the teacher per planning.
• Deliver group/individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners to develop work and progress with independence.
• Monitor and support learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
• Assist with managing learning environments and classroom behaviour.
• Support learners across curriculum activities as directed.
