Job summary

Philip Morant School and College in Colchester is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our SEND provision and support students across the wider SEN profile. The role involves working within classrooms and in withdrawal interventions, acting as a Key Worker and developing One Plans with students and parents.

You will bring recent experience of helping children in a learning environment, and a readiness to contribute to our inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a learning environment.
• Ability to apply behaviour management policies to create a purposeful learning environment.
• Willingness to develop SEN support skills; ELSA qualification is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals or small groups in the classroom.
• Act as Key Worker supporting identified students in SEND.
• Contribute to planning, organising and implementing withdrawal interventions.
• Complete One Plans and Pupil Passports with students and parents.
