Job summary

Philip Morant School and College in Colchester is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEND across the school. The role involves working with individuals or small groups, acting as a key worker, and assisting with withdrawal interventions.

Your day-to-day includes planning, recording One Plans and Pupil Passports with students and parents, under the guidance of SEN staff. An integration period applies for new staff joining the Sigma Trust.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a learning environment.
• Ability to apply a range of behaviour management policies and strategies to support a purposeful learning environment.
• Desirable SEN training or qualifications such as ELSA.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals or small groups in the classroom to support learning.
• Act as a Key Worker supporting identified students with SEND.
• Assist in planning and implementing withdrawal interventions.
