Job summary

Paxman Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support students with SEND, helping them overcome barriers to learning and participate in classroom activities.

The role involves assisting numeracy and literacy initiatives, IT use for SEN students, and fostering an aspirational learning culture within a supportive team.

We're searching for an exceptional Learning Support Assistant to become a vital part of our community and help us to support students with various SEND needs to overcome their barriers to learning.

• Contract Type: Permanent
• Start Date: ASAP following pre-employment checks
• Hours/Weeks: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil/INSET days)
• Working Pattern: 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

A Day in the Life:

You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

• Proactively supporting students with activities designed to enhance numeracy and literacy
• Supporting SEN students in gaining the ability to utilise IT in the classroom
