Job summary

Lincoln is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for September 2026 to support students with SEN in a large secondary academy. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, working alongside teaching staff to promote progress and wellbeing.

Contract is 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 training days) on NJC scale; salary £24,796 pro rata. Applicants should have five GCSEs including English and Maths and be able to demonstrate resilience and a calm approach.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs passes (grades 4–9) including English and Maths.
• Experience supporting students with SEN/D is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 or in small groups.
• Assist teaching staff in lesson delivery and planning.
• Promote student wellbeing and progress.
• Provide basic first aid when required.
