Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with secondary schools in Lincoln to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant from September. The role involves 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.

You will work with teaching staff and the SEND team to support learners with SEMH, ASD, dyslexia and other needs. Immediate start with a competitive daily rate of £95-£100 and ongoing potential.

We are working in partnership with secondary schools in Lincoln that are looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive teams from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to support students with a variety of additional needs, including:

• Social, Emotional and Behavioural needs (SEMH)
• Lower cognitive ability
• Low-level Autism (ASD)
• Dyslexia
• ADHD
• some students with physical disabilities
• Personal care support (if you are comfortable providing this)

You will play an important role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment while encouraging students to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school, care, youth work or similar experience is welcomed)
• Is patient, empathetic and resilient
• Can build positive relationships with students and staff
• Is confident supporting students with behavioural, social and emotional needs
• Is comfortable providing personal care where required (desirable but not essential)
• Is committed to helping every student succeed
