Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Wolverhampton on a full-time basis. You will support pupils aged 4–19 with SEND, delivering tailored one-to-one and small group assistance and helping pupils access learning.

You will work with teachers and the multidisciplinary team to monitor progress, support emotional development, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child thrives.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Patience, empathy and commitment to supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships and be a positive role model.
• Flexible, resilient and proactive in supporting learning.
• Passion for helping young people reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group learning support.
• Assist teachers with creative and engaging lessons.
• Support academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Monitor, record, and report pupil progress and achievements.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Adapt learning activities and resources to individual needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers.
• Support pupils with personal care where necessary.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.
