Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Dudley full-time. You will support students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism and sensory needs, helping them engage educationally and socially.

Working with a class teacher and support staff, you will provide tailored assistance in one-to-one or small-group settings, for students aged four to nineteen. DBS checks and references are required.

About you:

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will:

• Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and sensory needs.
• Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
• Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
