Job summary

Reeson Education is recruiting an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for a Thurrock primary school specialising in ASD/SLD. You will support learners with complex needs in small classes, helping them develop communication and social skills in a safe, structured environment.

The role includes personal care tasks and supporting a personalised curriculum, with lots of positive reinforcement and patient guidance to reduce frustration and enable interaction with the wider world.

Qualifications

• Recent UK TA experience
• NVQ L2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools
• GCSE Maths & English (A-C)
• Experience supporting learners with autism and complex learning difficulties
• Good BM Skills

Responsibilities

• Support learners with complex needs in small classes
• Assist with communication and social interaction development
• Carry out personal care tasks as part of daily routine
• Set boundaries and provide positive reinforcement
• Follow a personalised curriculum and adapt activities to individual needs
