Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking caring SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in supportive schools across Mitcham (CR4). Flexible day-to-day supply work or long-term placements are available to suit you.

You will support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs, provide 1:1 and small group support, and help with learning, social development and emotional wellbeing. You will work with teachers and SENCOs to support pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN in schools, care, youth work, tutoring, coaching or similar settings.
• Patience, resilience and nurturing.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to remain calm and adaptable in various situations.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language)
• Provide 1:1 and small group support inside and outside the classroom
• Assist with learning, social development and emotional wellbeing
• Help implement behaviour and support strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to support pupil progress
