Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in the Salford area.

This full-time position offers an immediate start and the opportunity to support pupils with a range of complex SEN needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, severe learning difficulties (SLD), sensory needs, social communication challenges, and associated behavioural needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or support work is desirable.
  • DBS check (Enhanced) preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Help students access learning and engage in lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour, communication and independence.
  • Implement support strategies in line with EHCPs.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff.
  • Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing.

Teaching Personnel are seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in the Salford area. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
  • Previous experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or support work is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
