Job summary

Tudor Grange Academy Worcester is seeking a Learning Mentor to support a student with high level needs funded provision for initially 12 months, with potential extension. The role focuses on building trust, monitoring progress, and enabling independence through assistive tech and Thrive-based approaches.

You will work within a supportive Trust, pursuing high-quality teaching and continuous professional development while coordinating with parents and school staff to ensure the student’s progress

Qualifications

• Be educated to a good standard with a minimum of GCSE Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience of working with students with high needs or SEND is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build a trusting relationship with the allocated student to support full potential.
• Monitor the student across the curriculum, including sensory needs and movement breaks.
• Support with access to assistive technology and develop independence in lessons.
• Provide emotion coaching and Thrive support during dysregulation.
• Contribute to the learning plan and EHCP section F to aid access to learning.
• Offer listening and attentional skill development opportunities.
• Engage with parents, line manager and college leaders to share progress.
