Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a caring Learning & Behaviour Mentor for a welcoming SEN school in Reigate to start in September. You will support pupils with SEMH, SEND, ASD, and behavioural challenges, helping them access the curriculum and build resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND, ASD, ADHD or challenging behaviour is beneficial.
• Patient, empathetic and able to understand individual needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
• Build positive relationships to improve confidence, engagement and wellbeing.
• Support emotional regulation, self-esteem and coping strategies.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and overcome barriers to learning.
• Work with teachers and SEN staff to provide consistent support.
• Use positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement.
• Support pupils during lessons, transitions and wider activities.
• Be a positive role model promoting resilience and personal development.
• Create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.
