Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a SEN Behaviour & Learning Mentor to support partner SEN schools across Bracknell, Berkshire and surrounding areas. The role helps students overcome behavioural challenges, engage with learning, and build confidence both in and out of the classroom.

Ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, or experienced education professionals seeking meaningful impact in specialist settings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people (education, SEN, youth work, coaching, care, mentoring, or similar).
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN and additional needs.
• Implement behaviour support strategies to encourage positive engagement and learning.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans.
• Help students develop emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence.
• Promote a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and personal development.

As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you'll play a key role in helping students overcome behavioural challenges, engage positively with learning, and build confidence both in and out of the classroom.
