Job summary

New River College in Islington, London, is seeking a SEN Learning Assistant to join a committed team across college sites. This full-time role (35 hours weekly) is term-time only and permanent, with an immediate start. You will support pupils with SEMH, help raise reading, writing and numeracy, and require Level 2 English and Maths.

Qualifications

• You must be flexible and educated to a Level 2 standard in English and Maths to help improve pupils’ reading, writing and numeracy.
• Experience engaging learners with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) is valued.
• Role supports pupils across multiple NRC sites, including off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH to improve reading, writing and numeracy.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver consistent provision across NRC sites.
• Assist with daily learning activities and behavioural support as required.
