Job summary

We Manage Jobs(WMJobs) is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Assistant for St Richards Church of England First School in Evesham. The role is fixed-term, part-time (16.5 hours per week) and covers Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to support pupils with SEN and assist teachers with personalised learning plans.

The successful candidate will have experience with SEN, strong communication skills and a compassionate approach, helping create an inclusive, nurturing classroom alongside a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate, and understanding approach when working with pupils.
• Ability to adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to pupils with SEN, focusing on their unique learning needs.
• Utilise interactive learning techniques to enhance engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and educational professionals to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
• Assist in the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials, ensuring they are accessible to pupils with varying abilities.
• Facilitate interactive learning activities, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.
• Promote independence and social interaction among pupils with SEN.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students' well-being.
