Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is recruiting an Hourly Paid Job Coach in SEN to support learners with work placements and employability skills. The role involves building relationships with employers, coordinating placements, and guiding students through CV and interview preparation.

You will work mainly at the Worcester campus with some travel across sites, contributing to high-quality education and partnerships with employers and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating work placements or careers guidance is advantageous.
• Ability to liaise with internal teams and external employers to secure placements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to secure placements and engagement opportunities.
• Source, assess and approve work placements ensuring health and safety requirements are met.
• Support students before and during placements, monitoring progress and employability skills.
• Collaborate with tutors and careers teams to prepare learners for employment through CVs and interview support.
• Maintain records of learner progress and placement outcomes for quality improvement.
• Promote employer engagement and contribute to careers strategy and Gatsby Benchmarks.
• Attend work experience and careers meetings and participate in continuous improvement activities.
