Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Lancashire is seeking an education support specialist to deliver targeted learning activities and intervention programmes for small groups or individuals, and to adapt delivery based on student responses.

You will monitor and record student progress using ICT systems, support students with SEN and those for whom English is not their first language, and help implement plans such as EHCPs while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification relating to working with children and young people.
• Experience in a school setting or with children/young people.
• Ability to deliver interventions to individuals or small groups.
• Proficient ICT skills with educational software (SIMS, o'Cloud, Praising Stars).
• Strong safeguarding awareness and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned learning activities and intervention programmes to small groups or individuals, adapting delivery based on student responses.
• Assess, monitor, and record student development using ICT systems.
• Support students with SEN and those for whom English is not their first language.
• Provide short-term cover for learning environments and support individual development plans (EHCPs).
• Manage resources and invigilate exams.
