Job summary

Smile Education are recruiting for a SEN Inclusion Mentor to work with pupils aged 11–16 in a secondary school in West Bromwich. The role is paid £100–£130 per day and offers a long-term, ASAP-start contract.

You will support pupils with SEN, SEMH, autism and related needs, delivering one-to-one and small-group interventions, liaising with the SENCO and pastoral staff to keep learners engaged and progressing while maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEN pupils aged 11–16 in a secondary setting.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 11–16 with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs.
• One-to-one and small-group support; in-class assistance.
• Help pupils access learning and remain engaged in lessons; promote regulation and confidence.
• Record pupil engagement and intervention notes; follow safeguarding procedures.
