Job summary

Create Education is seeking a qualified SEN English Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Three Bridges, Crawley. You will teach English to students with additional needs and contribute to differentiated, accessible lessons while collaborating with support staff and teaching assistants.

The role starts as a short-term agency contract with potential to become permanent following a successful period and school requirements, for a dedicated educator committed to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• UK QTS is essential.
• At least 1 year's teaching experience in a school.
• Qualified and experienced in teaching English.
• Experience working within either SEN or mainstream education.
• Strong understanding of SEN and additional needs.
• Previous experience working with students with SEN is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential.
• Adaptable, patient and committed to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated and accessible English lessons.
• Support students to develop their literacy, communication and confidence.
• Work with students with a range of SEN needs.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and wider support staff.
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Potential opportunity to move onto a permanent contract following a successful agency placement.
