Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an SEN Coordinator in Westminster.

The SEN Coordinator will provide comprehensive casework management and administrative support to ensure the effectiveness of the SEN Service for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the City of Westminster. This is a Hybrid position.

Main Responsibilities

As an SEN Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  1. Undertaking the statutory assessment process of an EHC needs assessment and issuing EHC Plans within twenty weeks, adhering to statutory deadlines as per The Children and Families Act 2014, SEN Code of Practice January 2015, and relevant caselaw.
  2. Managing and processing, under the direction of the SEN Team Manager and Senior EHC Coordinator, statutory and non-statutory casework within legal and internal timelines, including complex cases involving appeal hearings and legal proceedings.
  3. Championing the use of technology (such as the case management system) to record, track, monitor work processes, manage performance, and inform business intelligence.
  4. Ensuring systems are updated clearly and consistently with all relevant information in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEN Code of Practice 2015
  • Experience in a similar role
