Job summary

Reeson Education is recruiting a Learning Mentor for a specialist Post-19 setting supporting young adults with autism and additional needs. You’ll work closely with specialist professionals to help young adults develop independence, confidence, learning and everyday life skills.

We’re looking for someone who is patient, positive and resilient, with a passion for autism and SEND and strong communication. This temp-to-perm role offers the chance to secure a permanent position with the setting.

Qualifications

• Patience, positivity and resilience for challenging settings.
• Passion for autism and SEND support.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a specialist environment.
• A-level or recognised childcare qualification.
• Previous SEND experience desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support young adults in developing independence, confidence, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with specialist professionals to tailor learning and life-skill plans.
• Support SEND learners in a Post-19 setting.
• Participate in safeguarding and safeguarding-related procedures.
