Job summary

Enfield Council is seeking a SEN Co-ordinator to join their team in a full-time role with hybrid working (home-based with occasional work at the Civic Centre). The post focuses on assessing pupils with special educational needs and coordinating EHC planning.

You will work within statutory timeframes, ensure accurate records, and collaborate with education, health and social care partners to place and support CYP across the LA area.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating statutory SEN assessments.
• Knowledge of The Children and Families Act 2014 and SEN Code of Practice.
• Ability to work in multi-agency environments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory needs assessment process and issue EHC Plans.
• Ensure assessments within statutory timeframes and data accuracy on records/databases.
• Coordinate a person-centred, outcome-focused multi-agency approach to assessment/planning for the statutory process.
• Keep in mind the Preparing for Adulthood principles across all ages when drafting EHC Plans.
