Job summary

Norwich Primary Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support pupils’ learning, with a focus on SEN pupils and a modified curriculum. You will work with teachers to deliver targeted interventions and help pupils access the curriculum.

The role is 7 hours per week (Thursday), term-time across 39 weeks, fixed-term until 31 August 2027, starting November 2026. Salary is on the Support Staff Pay Scale C pro-rata, with benefits and development opportunities within Inspiration

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
• Experience of leading interventions to support learning.
• Ability to use a range of relevant technology.

Responsibilities

• Work under the instruction/guidance of teaching staff.
• Undertake care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with SEN or EAL.
• Perform assessments and implementing speech and language interventions.
• Enabling access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
