Job summary

A UK-based college is seeking a Specialist Learning Mentor for on-site support, with DBS disclosure requirements and 1:1 mentoring duties. The post is subject to mandatory pre-employment checks and a September 2026 start; salary is pro rata £16,021.49–£16,783.41 per year.

The role involves supporting learners, coordinating with the SEN Team Leader, and maintaining records, EHCP outcomes, and progress reviews.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate Level 2 English & maths.
• Qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties Level 2+.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Condition support.
• Experience liaising with parents and colleagues.
• Familiarity with safeguarding and welfare requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 mentoring and in-class support as directed by SEN Team.
• Assist lecturer with adapting materials for named students.
• Promote independent learning using technologies.
• Act as a key worker to help EHCP outcomes.
• Support EHCP annual reviews and progress reporting.
