Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in a UK college seeks a Specialist Learning Mentor to mentor students 1:1, support classroom/workshop activities, and record progress toward EHCP targets. You will liaise with tutors and families and promote independent learning with technology.

Role is on-site, starts September 2026, and is pro rata to the academic year. Mandatory pre-employment checks including Enhanced DBS apply.

Qualifications

• English and Maths skills equivalent to Level 2.
• Qualification relevant to Specific Learning Difficulties at Level 2 or above.
• Experience using assistive technologies and IT applications.
• Experience with learners on Autism Spectrum Condition.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 mentoring in-class or outside the classroom as directed by the SEN Team Leader.
• Assist the lecturer with adapting materials for named students' use.
• Promote independent learning using technology and adaptive tools.
• Be a key worker to help students reach EHCP outcomes.
• Support the EHCP Annual Review process with the Specialist Support Lead.
• Coordinate with tutors to monitor individual targets and progress.
• Contact parents with permission of tutors where appropriate.
• Attend Academy and Inclusion Team meetings.
• Undertake training including Team Teach as required.
• Admin duties: maintain records and progress reviews.
