Job summary

Colmore Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist setting in Tamworth, supporting pupils with ASC and diverse learning needs. You will help with communication, emotional regulation and social development, both in 1:1 and small group contexts.

The role emphasizes patient, nurturing support and close collaboration with teaching staff to tailor learning plans and promote positive behaviours throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN/education settings desirable.
• Experience with ASC or additional needs advantageous.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Available to work full-time and start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Work closely with students with ASC and additional needs.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Assist with classroom activities and tailored learning programmes.
• Encourage engagement, confidence and independence.
• Promote positive behaviour and support students throughout the day.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
