Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in East London is seeking an experienced Art & Design Lecturer to deliver Entry Level 3 Art & Design to learners with SEND on a part-time, temporary basis starting September 2026.

The role requires a Level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or DET), strong subject knowledge, and a creative, inclusive approach to support SEND learners and help them progress.

Qualifications

• Essential: Full Level 5 teaching qualification – PGCE, Cert Ed or DET.
• Strong Art & Design subject knowledge.
• Experience teaching learners with SEND, including autism, learning difficulties and/or complex needs.
• Experience adapting teaching for Entry Level learners.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A creative, patient and inclusive approach.
