Job summary

TP Tutors in Northamptonshire is seeking experienced SEN 1:1 tutors to provide personalised tuition for pupils with SEND across Northampton and surrounding areas. Sessions occur in homes, schools or community settings during school hours, Monday to Friday.

Role offers flexible part-time or full-time opportunities with long-term tuition assignments and travel between locations. Competitive pay depends on experience and pupil needs, with weekly payroll and access to CPD and specialist SEND

Qualifications

• Two years’ UK teaching experience minimum.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence or reliable travel to multiple tuition locations.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil’s needs and abilities.
• Adapt teaching strategies and learning resources to support SEND needs.
• Plan and deliver lessons that promote academic progress, confidence and independence.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools and professionals.
• Encourage resilience, engagement and a positive attitude toward learning.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils toward EHCP goals where applicable.
