Job summary

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking experienced SEN 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition for pupils across Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and surrounding Northamptonshire areas. Sessions occur in homes, schools or community settings during school hours, Monday to Friday.

Join a dedicated team to support pupils with SEND, helping them build confidence and achieve progress through tailored, one-to-one tutoring with flexible part-time and full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years' UK teaching experience.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
• An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new Enhanced DBS check.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil’s individual needs and learning abilities.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to support a range of SEND needs.
• Plan and deliver lessons that promote academic progress, confidence and independence.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports following each lesson.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families, schools and other relevant professionals.
• Encourage pupils to develop resilience, improve engagement and build a positive attitude towards learning.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils in working towards their individual learning goals, including targets outlined in their EHCPs, where applicable.
