Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN 1-1 Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a part-time, long-term basis. This role involves working closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience and overall development. We are also offering the potential candidate a competitive pay rate.
Key Responsibilities:
v Provide 1-1 support to an eager and enthusiastic student with autism.
v Assist in the implementation of a Personal Learning Plan (PLP)
v Support the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
v Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
v Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the student's needs are met.
v Monitor and record the student's progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
v Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
v A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
v Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
v Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
v Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous.
v A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
v Hold a current and valid DBS check or be willing to obtain one
