A warm and inclusive primary school in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with special educational needs (SEN) starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive school environment.

Role Highlights:
  • Full-time, permanent position at a welcoming primary school in Westminster
  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, or other special needs
  • Assist with individualized learning plans (ILPs), ensuring the student’s needs are met and supporting their engagement in class
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to develop and deliver tailored learning activities

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN setting
  • Experience working 1:1 with children with SEN (such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties)
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and the strategies to support students in their learning
  • Patient, caring, and empathetic nature, with a commitment to helping students reach their potential
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and parents
  • Enhanced DBS check required
