Job summary

Recruit Engineering in Stockport is seeking a Semi-Skilled Technician to join the production team at our UK manufacturing facility. The role focuses on supporting vehicle assembly and rework operations with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will dress, gauge and finish components to specification, while maintaining clean working areas and adhering to health and safety policies. The position offers a permanent contract and on-site facilities.

• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• FLT licence desirable.

Role Purpose

To support the production function by ensuring a smooth, continuous workflow across vehicle assembly and rework operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Dressing various components in line with specification and achieve quality standards
• Shot peen & Hammer peen various components in line with specification and achieve quality standards
• Gauging of various components in line with specification and achieve quality standards
• General housekeeping and labouring duties across the site (emptying bins, brushing- up, mopping and occasionally painting etc.) if required
• Comply with the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy and identify health and safety hazards prior to the commencement of work.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area as required.

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Stacker/FLT licence is desirable
• Ability to conduct work duties in an manner that is safe for themselves and colleagues.
• Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions
• Develops a collaborative approach to meet multiple and potentially conflicting requests
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels of the business
• Ability to prioritise, use own initiative and organise work with minimal supervision
