BMR Solutions is proud to represent a global manufacturer of specialist equipment for the semiconductor and electronics sector. This Semi-Skilled Mechanical role is based in Clevedon, Somerset, on a fixed PM shift with overtime opportunities and a competitive hourly rate.

As a Semi-Skilled Mechanical candidate, you will perform mechanical sub-assembly of components, using hand tools and following engineering drawings within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical sub-assembly within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with hand tools and reading engineering drawings.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or engineering settings.
• Apprenticed or time-served background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical sub-assembly of components and systems.
• Use of hand tools such as spanners, wrenches and screwdrivers.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams.
• Assemble within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Support build processes to meet quality and production targets.

Pay: £17.91 per hour

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of a recruitment agency working in partnership with a global manufacturer of specialist equipment for the semiconductor and electronics sector.

Due to a sustained increase in orders driven by advanced technology and a strong market position, the business is expanding and investing heavily in its site. This growth is creating long-term contract opportunities for skilled engineers.

Pay & Shift

PM / Late Shift - £17.91 per hour

Monday-Wednesday: 14:30 - 00:30

Thursday: 14:30 - 00:00

Friday: No working

Fixed PM shift

Overtime

• 1.75x weekday overtime

Role Overview

As a Semi-Skilled Mechanical candidate, you will be responsible for the mechanical sub-assembly of components and systems within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include

• Mechanical sub-assembly of components and systems
• Using hand tools including spanners, wrenches and screwdrivers
• Working from mechanical engineering drawings and diagrams
• Assembly within a manufacturing / production environment
• Supporting build processes to meet quality and production targets
• Maintaining a neat, organised and safe working environment
• Working effectively both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical sub-assembly
• Confident use of a range of hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Previous experience within manufacturing, production or engineering environments

Desirable

• Basic industrial plumbing / pipework experience
• Basic electrical assembly experience

The Successful Candidate Will

Ideally, you will be apprenticed or time-served and have experience working within a busy manufacturing or production environment.
