Job summary

Meritus Talent is recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Aircraft Fitter to join a major aerospace prime in Filton on an initial 12 month contract. The role supports existing programmes and offers hours Monday to Thursday with a 6:30 to 3:45 shift.

You will work from engineering instructions, read Aircraft Drawings, and perform tasks using power tools. NVQ 2+ is required and safety is emphasised throughout the assignment.

SEMI-SKILLED AIRCRAFT FITTER - INSIDE IR35 - £25.62 PER HOUR - 25% UPLIFT FOR OVERTIME - 50% UPLIFT FOR WEEKENDS - 12 MONTHS - FILTON - MUST HAVE NVQ 2 OR ABOVE - MONDAY TO THURSDAY - A400M

CORE HOURS: Monday to Thursday 6:30 to 3:45

SKILLED APPRENTICE BACKGROUND

START DATE: 04/10/2026

Responsibilities

• Work from engineering instructions and understand Aircraft Drawings
• Complete tasks to the required standards
• General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing
• 1 party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses
• You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval shaped manholes
