Job summary

Line Up Aviation is recruiting for Skilled and Semi-Skilled Aircraft Fitters to join the Build Production team at Filton, onsite. Work from engineering drawings and instructions, carrying out drilling, shimming, and sealing with power tools.

You may work in confined spaces and must complete 1st party certification after relevant courses. Applicants should have Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship or equivalent, with City & Guilds Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship or equivalent is required.
• Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or NVQ Level 2/3 in engineering.
• Strong health and safety awareness and ability to work safely around aircraft installations.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are working alongside the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, who are looking for both Skilled and Semi-Skilled Aircraft Fitters to join the team at their renowned site in Filton. You'll be joining the team within the Build Production section to work on various aircrafts.
Role: Skilled / Semi-Skilled Fitters
Pay: from 25.62- 28.82 DOE per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Mon-Thurs 6.30am-3.45pm, 12 months contract
Location: Filton - Fully onsite
IR35: Inside
SC Clearance: BPSS
Responsibilities:

• Work from engineering instructions and understand Aircraft Drawings
• Complete tasks to the required standards
• General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing
• 1st party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses
• You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval shaped manholes

Requirements:

• Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship
• Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field
• Self-motivation with good communication skills
• An ability to work alone or as part of a team
• An openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working
• Knowledge and a high regard for Health and Safety standards
