Job summary

Meritus are recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Aircraft Fitter to join a major aerospace prime in Filton on an initial 12 month contract to support existing programmes.

Core Hours: Mon-Thu 6:30–3:45. Start date 04/10/2026. Tasks include following drawings and using power tools; 1st party certification after courses; may work in confined spaces.

SEMI-SKILLED AIRCRAFT FITTER - INSIDE IR35 - £25.62 PER HOUR - 25% UPLIFT FOR OVERTIME - 50% UPLIFT FOR WEEKENDS - 12 MONTHS - FILTON - MUST HAVE NVQ 2 OR ABOVE - MONDAY TO THURSDAY - A400M

CORE HOURS:

Monday to Thursday 6:30 to 3:45

Responsibilities

• Work from engineering instructions and understand Aircraft Drawings
• Complete tasks to the required standards
• General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing
• 1st party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses
• You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval shaped manholes
