Knightwell Recruitment seeks an experienced Accounts & Tax Senior for its Dorchester client portfolio. The role blends accounts preparation, tax work and direct client liaison with autonomy over workload and deadlines.

Hybrid pattern with core hours and flexible days, offering corporate pension and additional birthday leave in a supportive practice environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing year-end accounts and/or tax returns.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients.
• Formal qualifications are not essential but advantageous.

Responsabilités

Knightwell Recruitment is working with an established and growing accountancy practice in Dorchester that is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts & Tax Senior.

This is a varied role offering a good mix of accounts preparation, tax and client-facing work, with plenty of autonomy over your own portfolio and workload.

The role will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns and calculations
• Reviewing client books and records
• Preparing accounts working papers and supporting schedules
• Liaising directly with clients and resolving queries
• Liaising with HMRC where required
• Managing your own portfolio, workload and deadlines
• Supporting clients with tax queries and planning opportunities
• Assisting with more complex accounts and tax work where required

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 2 years' experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Experience preparing year-end accounts and/or tax returns
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients
• ACA, ACCA, AAT or ATT qualified/part-qualified would be advantageous, but formal
• qualifications are not essential
• Experience with VT Final Accounts would be beneficial

• Salary up to £35,000, depending on experience

The hybrid pattern includes office attendance on Mondays and Fridays, plus two Wednesdays per month, with home working available on the remaining days.
