Job summary

Nter Talent in Manchester is seeking an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior / Practice Accountant to join the team. You will be given responsibility from day one, including managing your own workload and working directly with clients, while receiving support from colleagues.

Your daily work will include preparing limited company accounts to completion, preparing VAT and quarterly returns, and assisting with corporation tax provisions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing limited company accounts through to completion.
• Experience calculating corporation tax provisions.
• Experience using accountancy software such as Xero.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Preparing limited company accounts through to completion.
• Preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax returns and tax provisions.
• Completing self-assessment tax returns.
• Preparing VAT and other quarterly returns.
• Supporting clients with MTD requirements.
• Completing balance sheet and other key reconciliations.
• Supporting and training junior members of the team.
• Getting involved in additional areas including management accounts, R&D claims and independent examinations.
• General ad hoc accounting and client work.

If you've spent the last couple of years working within an accountancy practice and you're ready for more ownership, client exposure and room to develop, this could be a really good move.

They're now looking for an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior / Practice Accountant to join the team - you'll be given responsibility from day one, including managing your own workload and working directly with clients, while still having plenty of support around you.

What you'll be doing

• Managing your own portfolio of clients
• Preparing limited company accounts through to completion
• Preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships
• Preparing corporation tax returns and tax provisions
• Completing self-assessment tax returns
• Preparing VAT and other quarterly returns
• Supporting clients with MTD requirements

• Supporting and training junior members of the team

• General ad hoc accounting and client work

What we're looking for

You’ll need:

• At least 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing limited company accounts through to completion
• Experience calculating corporation tax provisions
• Experience using accountancy software such as Xero

It would also be useful if you have:

• AAT Level 3 or above, or an equivalent qualification
• Experience using TaxCalc
• Experience managing your own client portfolio
• VAT, personal tax or management accounts exposure

You don't need to tick every preferred box.
